WHO WE ARE

Discovering the world is our life's passion

We are travelers who have not only traveled the length and breadth of the world ourselves, but have also spent a good few years getting to know many exotic countries from the inside out. During our travels, we have discovered many magical places: paradise islands at the end of the world, bungalows immersed among palm trees on idyllic beaches, villages lost in time and space, places that the noisy hordes of tourists who go on commercial trips of typical travel agencies never reach.

Exploring the world is my life's passion! While still a student, I took a year-long trip around the world, during which I visited the Asian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania, and the Americas.

During my studies, I took a year-long trip around the world, during which I visited the Asian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, Australia and Oceania, and the Americas. It was then that I caught the travel bug, from which it is impossible to escape. Since then, I have been traveling regularly, discovering new idyllic beaches and inaccessible paradise islands, while wondering how to design the optimal trip for our clients.

My professional experience is quite broad, especially in terms of geographical distribution – I painted in England, was a bartender in Australia, cleared the seabed of boulders after the tsunami in Thailand, taught English in Guatemala. In recent years I have worked in a bank serving large corporate clients and in a travel agency. The experience I have gained, my knowledge of the world…

When I was still working in the City of London as a tax consultant, the first sign that I had probably chosen the wrong profession was that while my colleagues had tax codes on their desks, mine were always piled high with travel guides.

Immersing myself in other cultures has always been what I do best. I spent a good few years both living and traveling in the most interesting parts of the world to me. I lived and traveled in China for over 2 years, teaching English at a university in Shanghai and working as a translator for the UN in Beijing. I spent almost a year wandering around India and Pakistan, almost accepting an offer from a Pakistani mullah to become a student in his madrassa. For a change of scenery, I also spent half a year in Brazil, improving my Portuguese at a course in El Salvador, and another half a year in Malaysia, learning Malay and helping with the business of the Malaysians I was staying with.

As for the journeys themselves, I am most fascinated by places undiscovered and unspoiled by mass tourism. Places where there are no McDonald's and where people and nature live in a rhythm untouched by modernity. That is why, from our offer, I personally recommend the wild Yemen and the ecological paradise - the Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe.

My first memories of traveling and exploring the world are associated with the program Pepper and Vanilla, hosted by Elżbieta Dzikowska and Tony Halik.

For me, a 6-year-old girl at the time, it was a 40-minute journey to distant and exotic places that at that time could only be dreamed of. I remember in particular the episode during which you could see the lives of the rulers of the savannah in Kenya and Tanzania – a lioness giving lessons to the young ones on how to hunt. I thought then that I would become a traveler by profession and that this would be the first place I would visit.

My dreams collided with reality. Right after graduation, I started working as a salesperson and for a moment I forgot about my dreams of distant travels. However, I could not suppress my childhood dreams and when I managed to gather my courage, I set out to conquer Asia, where my first stop was the Philippines. I caught the "travel bug" and visited practically all of Southeast Asia. After Asia, it was time for Africa - the first places I went were of course Tanzania and Zanzibar, as well as Namibia and South Africa. However, the greatest fulfillment of my dreams was a 4-month trip around the world, during which I visited Australia and Oceania, Southeast Asia, the USA and Latin America.

Thanks to travel, I am more open to new challenges, to what is around us. I have learned to accept both myself and other people. Travel shapes our characters and gives a lot of satisfaction. Because what we see, learn, feel - stays with us for life. That is why I hope that we will manage to infect you with this bug!

I fell head over heels in love with Latin America: with the smell of freshly roasted Colombian coffee, the taste of Mexican chocolate, the sensual Latin rhythms and the warm smiles of people passing me on the streets.

My many journeys to that part of the world brought me to Guatemala, where among the high volcanic peaks and Indian villages I found my second home, where I will probably move when I retire.

When I travel, I am not afraid of challenges: I have snowboarded down an active volcano in Nicaragua at 60 km/h, jumped on ropes over the treetops of the Costa Rican rainforest, fished in a wooden canoe on a crater lake in Guatemala, explored pre-Incan temples in the Andes at night. I am fascinated by the spirituality of the countries I visit, religious syncretism and ancient rituals, the discovery of which allowed me to get to know the local culture and philosophy of life more deeply.

For 10 years I have been organizing trips to the most remote corners of the world. My extensive experience in organizing individual, group and incentive trips allows me to plan trips with the greatest attention to detail. I love to pamper my clients and allow them to enjoy every moment of their travels. I believe that life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the number of moments that take your breath away. My mission at Planet Escape is to provide you with such moments.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been curious about the world around me, and traveling was the way to discover it.

This is a passion that my parents instilled in me, and which I have been developing on my own for many years. Once, as a child, I saw a report on TV about distant Malaysia and its exotic islands. I thought then that I had to get there someday... 15 years later I was sitting in a boat that was docking on one of these islands. And so the main goal of my travels became the amazing South-East Asia, but not only that. I traveled across Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway, experienced rafting in the Altai Mountains. I was the first foreigner to live in an Indonesian village, and I taught English to children. I dived on the coral reefs of Thai and Malaysian paradise islands. I discovered the secrets of the temples of Angkor and explored Vietnamese caves.

What fascinates me the most about traveling is everything that is different. Another culture, people, food. I like traveling to authentic places where you can completely lose yourself in the local atmosphere. Forget about the world and have a unique opportunity to look at your everyday reality from a very distant perspective. My philosophy of traveling brought me to Planet Escape and today I can definitely say that I do what I like.

I never had any doubts about what I wanted to do in life.

Travel and sports have always been my greatest passion, so choosing to study at the Academy of Physical Education was obvious to me. Since then, I have worked in various fields of tourism, but I can safely say that exotic trips are the best choice for me for life and work.

I love activity, adrenaline and new challenges. When traveling, you can find me surfing the waves in South Africa or searching for the Big Five on safari. I traverse the Saharan dunes in a jeep, climb every rock I encounter, march through the Thai jungle and experiment with cuisine in Taiwan. The strength for everything is given to me by the practice of yoga, an inseparable element of each of my days.

When visiting the most remote corners of the world, my greatest pleasure is not visiting another temple or church, but rather getting to know the true culture of the country, the people and their customs. New, unknown tastes, smells, atmosphere and often shocking behaviors of local communities are like a private lesson with a "professor of the world" for me.

I just like traveling, both professionally and privately.

I like to confront the reality I encounter with the magical idea of a given place. I look at the world with curiosity and I want to experience everything on my own and have my own point of view. A real journey begins before you leave, and a successful one can last many months after you return. When I travel, I look for inspiration, adventure and positive impressions, not necessarily luxury and the greatest comforts. Sometimes I choose places that are not obvious or where fate has thrown me by accident, I like to stay in one place and check exactly what is hidden behind every corner, check what is behind the next hill.

I spent nights in Buddhist monasteries in mountainous Ladakh, felt the bitter cold travelling in winter on the Trans-Siberian Railway, searched for traces of the first Incas on the Isle of the Sun in Bolivia and checked if the Chinese legends of the leaping tiger conceal even a bit of truth. I learned the history of tango and a passion for football on the streets of Buenos Aires, sheared my first sheep in New Zealand and ate the tastiest dinner on an active Japanese volcano. I brought back the most smiles from my Colombian friends and sand in my shoes from Mexican beaches on the Pacific. In the moments between my journeys, I work at Planet Escape and prepare dream holidays for you. See you on the road!

My passion for travel has been growing in me since my early years.

As a child, thanks to the support of my parents, I discovered the country and later Europe. Geography was one of the few school subjects that interested me – probably influenced by teachers who conveyed knowledge about the most distant countries in the world in an interesting way. The combination of my parents’ determination, the passion of my teachers and my rather active lifestyle resulted in the need to seek new adventures and experiences, which is why in my adult life I have often set off into the “unknown”, always drawing great satisfaction and joy from each trip. My favourite destinations, which I gladly return to, are Georgia, Costa Rica and the United States, and my list of travel dreams definitely includes Namibia, East Timor and New Zealand.

I love traveling. Privately and professionally. Even a short trip out of town puts me in a good mood.

I have long understood that you don't have to travel far to discover unique places. And that even heavily touristed places have much more to offer than a typical tourist brochure "tells". You just have to be willing to try to discover it.

I absorb the scents of the Orient in Jordan, Israel, India and Uzbekistan. I appreciate the history and ancient architecture in Turkey, Greece and Italy. I am drawn into the world of bazaars and folk art in Romania, Ukraine and Mexico. I admire the majesty of the mountains in Nepal, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. I am drawn to Pakistan and back to Egypt. And the strong basis of each of my trips is the exquisite local cuisine. I never forget about it!

For me, travel is not only about distance and changing places and habits. It is, above all, about people. During my many years of work in tourism, I have met a lot of you. I appreciate every meeting. I draw great joy and energy from them. That is why I am waiting for you in Planet Escape.

"after all, there is such a thing as travel infection and it is a kind of disease that is essentially incurable"

…when I first read this sentence in Ryszard Kapuściński’s book “Travels with Herodotus”, I passed it without much thought. I was young and read every book about distant countries that fell into my hands. I tried to remember the capital of each country, what its flag looks like, where it is located, what its history is, will I ever go there? This resulted in me graduating in geography from the pedagogical faculty. At that time, I was already guided by the idea of sharing knowledge and inspiring others to explore the world. And when I first went to Asia on my own, I had this book in my backpack. I started devouring subsequent pages again, until I reached this sentence and understood it. My journey does not end when I return, because another one begins in my head, just waiting to be realized. And in the meantime, I recreate the flavors I have experienced on my journey, using the spices and recipes I brought with me.

Like most of us, I started my longer journeys in Asia, but soon it was no longer enough for me, I wanted more. My heart was taken over by Africa. I feel great both in the bush tracking animals on safari, helping Polish sisters running a hospital in Burundi, or conquering Kilimanjaro. Setting foot on Easter Island, trekking in Patagonia, admiring cherry blossoms in Japan, spending the night under the starry sky of Namibia, a great adventure with gorillas in Uganda. I have experienced all of this. My dream is to walk the Kokoda Trail in Papua – New Guinea, backpack along the Artic Circle Trail in Greenland and see Antarctica. And where do you want to go?

Any form of travel makes me feel like I'm living life to the fullest - whether it's conquering mountain passes in Georgia, diving in forgotten Ceylon caves or hiking with a bottle of water through the Sahara like Nathan Drake.

Or simply relaxing on heavenly Thai beaches, floating on your back in the Dead Sea and tasting Azorean wines at sunset in the crater of an extinct volcano.

Although I live in Krakow, my thoughts constantly wander towards places I have already visited and those I will have time to visit. I have the warmest memories of Sri Lanka, Thailand, Oman, Jordan and the Portuguese islands – the Azores and Madeira. My dream is to settle there permanently in the future.

I believe that the best way to travel is the one that suits us and makes us want more – whether it’s to discover culture and history, discover new flavors or just admire works of nature that we will commemorate with beautiful photos – so if you feel like setting off on the next adventure of a lifetime, I invite you to Planet Escape.

From the moment I discovered that traveling is the most wonderful activity imaginable, my life took on a new dimension.

Since I discovered that traveling is the most wonderful activity imaginable, my life has taken on a new dimension. I am head over heels in love with India, whose diversity and mysticism attract me like a magnet, and at the same time with the Balkans, where authenticity and local climate arouse my deep delight. These two regions are a source of endless inspiration and I can return there endlessly. I have been traveling since it occurred to me that exotic adventures are the essence of life. Traveling gives me freedom and the opportunity to deeply know the world and myself, and it also changes my perception of the world.

Photography is my way of capturing fleeting moments, allowing me to enjoy every trip even more and capture their magic. I use my camera to document moments of everyday life that carry extraordinary stories. I value interactions with locals the most, especially when hitchhiking, which allow me to learn about previously unknown customs and traditions. I prefer authentic experiences over checking off attractions and ticking off places on the map, because the depth of experience is what counts for me. Each trip brings me new, unforgettable memories that I then try to cherish throughout my life.

I have the soul of a seeker and this is just the beginning of my journey – I want to discover even more, get to know new places and stories that are waiting to be told.

For as long as I can remember, I have not been able to get enough of the world – its smells, tastes, stories whispered through the walls of old cities and the looks of people you meet only once but remember for a lifetime. Choosing a tourist high school was natural for me, and journalism studies gave me the tools to not only experience, but also talk about what I saw.

I once read the words of Anthony Bourdain, a famous American chef, writer and traveler: “Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you.”
It is this transformation that takes place within us silently but irreversibly that fascinates me most about traveling.

Europe became my first home on the road – I know it almost inside out. Then came the Middle East, whose contrasts still amaze me, and Asia, where every color and sound seems more intense than anywhere else.

I have the soul of a seeker and this is just the beginning of my journey – I want to discover more, meet new places and stories that are waiting to be told. I invite you to Planet Escape for a journey based on authenticity and details – one that starts with a conversation and ends with memories that will last a lifetime.

Our Philosophy

What makes the trips we organize so unique?

Discovering the unknown, beautiful and mystical
Our offer is aimed at people who have outgrown trips to sexless cement tourist complexes and who do not want to be part of the tourism industry. Instead of white behemoths immersed in cement, we offer boutique and intimate hotels. For us, travel is above all about discovering the unknown, beautiful and mystical.
We will never send you where we wouldn't go again ourselves.
We love places far from the tourist hustle and bustle. Places where you can experience something extraordinary and gather memories for a lifetime. We have personally been to each of the beaches, islands and hotels we recommend. So all the places are checked and the trails are blazed. You can boldly start the adventure of your life.
Intimate and unique places
Instead of resort nightmares, we prefer elegant, intimate hotels, where, with the sound of waves, you can contemplate the vastness of the ocean and the rustle of palm trees in a hammock. Quality and style are equally important to us: most of the hotels we work with are true oases of peace, boutique gems highly rated by customers who visit them.
Authentic Cuisine
We focus on authenticity and getting to know the local culture also through food. Instead of pre-paid meals, we offer breakfasts and Escape Books. In guides written especially for you, you will find detailed information on where to eat the best curry and on which beaches the freshest shrimp is served. We have marked all the restaurants worth visiting on maps, so you will certainly find your way to the places we have checked and get to know the authentic local cuisine.
