General Information

The largest city, business center and former capital of Sri Lanka. Currently, the government is based in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, which is practically a suburb of the same agglomeration, which is why Colombo is still considered the capital city by many. Due to its convenient location on the west coast of the island, it was an important port center almost 2 years ago.
A chaotic and crowded metropolis that never sleeps, it simultaneously arouses fear and delight in tourists visiting it. Modern skyscrapers are interwoven here with colonial buildings left by the Portuguese and traditional temples of various faiths. During your stay here, it is worth visiting interesting museums, presenting exhibits from different periods of the country's history.
