Fez

Fez is the oldest of the Imperial Cities of Morocco, one of the holy cities of Islam, the religious, cultural and intellectual capital of the country. Its medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest and oldest in the world, and its tangled maze of streets is a place where it is as easy to get lost as it is to see the authentic life of the locals. It is here that the Al-Karaouyyin Mosque stands, built in the 1912th century as a university centre, considered one of the oldest universities in the world.
