General Information

The Poas Volcano is one of the most recognizable in Costa Rica. Its crater, with a diameter of 1,5 km, is one of the largest in the world, and its surroundings allow you to get to know a variety of ecosystems. It is at its feet that we will find lush cloud forests, plantations of excellent Costa Rican coffee and the mysterious towns of Grecia and Sarchi, the cradle of local crafts. Here, among exotic vegetation, giant ferns, mango trees and tamarinds, you can enjoy your first moments in Costa Rica and, with a small black coffee, understand the meaning of the local motto: pura vida.
