Upon arrival and welcome, private transfer to your hotel. The next day your tour of Sri Lanka begins.

After breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver, who will be at your disposal for the entire duration of the tour. Today, you will drive to the area around Anuradhapura.

This ancient city served as the country's capital for centuries. It is known for its impressive ruins, including numerous stupas, palaces and monasteries that attest to its former importance. The city is also an important pilgrimage site for Buddhists, as it is home to the Sri Maha Bodhi, a fig tree descended from the original tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment. Anuradhapura was a central political and religious centre from the 4th century BC to the 11th century AD, and is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On the way, we can suggest a visit to Yapahuwa Rock Fortress, an ancient rock fortress that served as the country's capital in the 90th century. It is located about XNUMX meters above the surrounding plain and is known for its impressive staircase leading to the top, decorated with intricate carvings and ornaments. The fortress was not only a defensive bastion, but also a place to store relics, including the Sacred Tooth of Buddha, which was later transferred to Kandy.

Today we will take you on two trips:

• to the Lion Rock, or Sigiriya, a 750th-century fortress listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The climb up the XNUMX steps is arduous, but the view from the top and the beautiful frescoes you will admire along the way are worth the effort,
• on the Nachchaduwa Experience – a trip to the less touristy places on the island, during which you will wander through wild corners and rolling rice fields.

Today you will go to Kandy.

Kandy is the spiritual and cultural centre of the country. You will have the opportunity to visit the Temple of the Tooth with your guide, one of the most important Buddhist sites that attracts pilgrims from all over the world. The city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a rich history as the last capital of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka, and its colonial architecture, botanical gardens, numerous temples and traditional markets add to its unique charm.

On the second day of your stay in Kandy we can offer you two excursions:

• in the Hanthana mountain range, located south of the city, famous for its picturesque landscapes and lush vegetation. The area is a popular destination for hiking and trekking, offering magnificent views of the surrounding hills and valleys,
• for bird and butterfly observation.

Ahead of you is a fascinating train journey from Kandy to Hatton.

Hatton is a picturesque town located in the central part of Sri Lanka, surrounded by hilly terrain and lush tea plantations. It is an important centre of the tea industry and the area around Hatton is a famous tea growing region on the high hills. The town is a popular base for tourists to explore the surrounding plantations, walk the picturesque paths and learn about the tea production process.

Today your driver will take you to the airport, from where you will fly to the Yala National Park area.

Yala National Park is one of the most famous and popular wildlife watching destinations in Sri Lanka, located on the southeastern coast of the country. It is known for its rich fauna, especially Asian elephants, Sri Lankan leopards and birds, which attracts many tourists and nature lovers. The park offers spectacular safaris that allow you to observe wild animals in their natural habitat.

During your stay in the park we will take you on an exciting afternoon game drive, we can also offer you a morning game drive.

Ahead of you are moments of blissful relaxation! Today your driver will take you to the ocean, to Tangalle. On the way, you will stop at the Rekawa Turtle Conservation Project, a center aimed at protecting sea turtles and their habitats.

Tangalle is a charming seaside town located on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, which offers ideal conditions for relaxation and rest. Its sandy beaches are surrounded by lush vegetation and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, creating picturesque scenery that encourages laziness and contemplation. In Tangalle, you can enjoy peaceful walks on the beach, sunbathing and swimming in the clear waters of the ocean. The place also offers various opportunities for active recreation, such as diving, surfing or boat trips around the surrounding bays. An additional advantage of Tangalle are its charming restaurants serving fresh seafood and traditional Ceylon cuisine, making your stay by the ocean more pleasant.
