Kenya – photo report from the trip

8 hours in a humpbacked Boeing 747 took us from the modern airport in Amsterdam straight to the capital of Kenya. Although Nairobi was not the main destination of our journey, after a few minutes spent in a taxi we passed the first national park with the same name as the neighboring city. A unique place, where cheetahs, zebras, rhinos, lions and giraffes live right next to a bustling metropolis and concrete skyscrapers. Our plan was simple – a few days of touring the most interesting national parks, i.e. safari.

We started our expedition from the famous Masai Mara, where the vastness of the savannah is amazing. From the deck of an off-road Toyota, we looked out for wild animals. Lazily strolling lions, elephants attentively taking care of their young, or leopards hunting wildebeests - these are everyday occurrences in the Mara. This is the animal kingdom, and we can only watch this spectacle of nature from the sidelines. After the first day, one thought comes to mind - no photos or films can convey the impressions that accompanied us during the safari. Our trip to Kenya in addition to an incredible adventure, it is also a large dose of knowledge about the local environment. We learned, among other things, why local Masai communities do not find their place in the modern world and how fragile the essence of endangered species is. The following days are a safari from the perspective of a boat on Lake Naivasha, which captivates with the number of birds inhabiting it, and the forested Lake Nakuru National Park, completely different from the savannah in Masai Mara.

Traveling through Kenyan villages in a Toyota off-road vehicle and sleeping in tents literally on the outskirts of national parks only adds color to the trip. We brought back a large dose of impressions and some photos, which we are happy to share with you. We invite you!

View of the Mara River. During the Great Migration, millions of zebras and wildebeests cross the Mara River while hungry crocodiles begin their feast.

Lake Nakuru – is surrounded by wet forests, marshes and vast areas of grassy savannah.

Masai Mara National Park. No matter what animals you want to see in Kenya, you will not be disappointed here!

Masai Mara National Park is home to the largest lion population in Kenya, and perhaps the world.

Lake Nakuru National Park is the pride of central Kenya and the kingdom of flamingos.

Animals are best observed during the Great Migration, when they come to Kenya in July and August. The herbivores in search of fresh grass are followed by predators, and then by scavengers. Elephants, buffalo, hippos, and even black rhinos can be seen here.

Masai Mara National Park is part of the much larger Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

A safari in the Masai Mara Reserve is a guaranteed adventure! In one day you will see not only the Big Five, but also giraffes, zebras, antelopes, jackals, monkeys, cheetahs and hyenas.

While observing nature, you can feel like you are in a program from the Animals of the World series, the only thing missing is Krystyna Czubówna's voice in the background. The best walking, driving and even balloon safaris in Kenya are organized here!

Want to see the biggest of the dangerous animals and the most dangerous of the big mammals? Go on safari to Kenya, where you are guaranteed to come face to face with the wildest animals in Africa!

During your safari, you can also witness the incredible spectacle that takes place every year during the great migration. When millions of zebras and wildebeests cross the plains of the Serengeti and Masai Mara in search of water and food. Many animals die: from hunger, killed by crocodiles, trampled... However, new ones are born, which are ready to follow the herd.

What fascinates me the most about traveling is everything that is different. Another culture, people, food. I like traveling to authentic places where you can completely lose yourself in the local atmosphere. Forget about the world and have a unique opportunity to look at your everyday reality from a very distant perspective. My philosophy of traveling brought me to Planet Escape and today I can definitely say that I do what I like.
