Along the way, you will encounter fragrant forests and herbs, Cretan wild goats, and an abandoned village. Older children can also be shown one of the many local monuments, such as the ruins of the palace in Knossos, which is associated with the myths of the Minotaur and Theseus and Ariadne, architecture and museums in Chania or Heraklion.
